In Turkey, the chairman of the IYI Party, Musavat Dervişoğlu, made a strong statement regarding the campaigns conducted against Azerbaijan-Turkey relations in the context of recent events in the region.
According to Modern.az, M. Dervişoğlu stated that an information environment is being purposefully and systematically formed to sow discord between Azerbaijan and Turkey amidst the war around Iran.
According to him, behind these attempts are forces that want to distance Turkey from its closest ally and weaken its influence in the Caucasus.
Dervişoğlu noted that they see such games and are well aware of the circles behind them.
“Our relations with Azerbaijan are not merely political ties; they are national and fraternal bonds. At the same time, they hold strategic importance in terms of energy, trade, and geopolitical cooperation. These relations are like a vein extending to the Turkic world and play the role of a geopolitical lifeline for both countries,” he emphasized.
The IYI Party leader stated that in the current complex international environment, the unity of Turkic states must be further strengthened. According to him, all Turkic states, especially Azerbaijan, Turkey, and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, should cooperate more closely during this difficult period.
Dervişoğlu added that the current era is not for those who act alone, but for states that preserve their strength together with their brethren.
