The US spent over 11.3 billion dollars in the first six days of military operations against Iran.
Modern.az reports that this information is stated in the report of Pentagon officials to the United States Congress.
According to news released by “The New York Times” newspaper, this figure is considered the most comprehensive preliminary assessment received by Congress to date. This does not include many related costs, such as the movement of military equipment and personnel before the strikes on Iran.
The report states that the Pentagon used AGM-154 bombs for the initial strikes, each costing between 578,000 and 836,000 dollars. Approximately 3,000 such precision-guided bombs were provided to the Navy about 20 years ago.
According to US media reports, approximately 5.6 billion dollars were spent on weapons and ammunition in only the first two days of the military operation against Iran.
