On Friday, a meeting between Emmanuel Macron and his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky is expected in Paris.
Modern.az reports that the Élysée Palace has issued a statement regarding this.
According to the French Presidential administration, the parties will discuss possible conditions for lasting peace and the commitments of the coalition of Ukraine's allies.
This coalition, uniting 35 allied countries of Ukraine, called for an “unconditional ceasefire” on February 24 and had agreed in January on the deployment of a multinational force in Ukraine should a peace agreement be reached. The control of this mechanism is intended to be exercised by the United States.
Incidentally, the US has proposed holding a new round of talks between Kyiv and Moscow during March. According to Volodymyr Zelensky, this meeting, which could take place with US mediation, might be organized in Switzerland or Turkey.
