US Secretary of War Pet Heqset made a statement about Iran's new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei.
Modern.az reports that Heqset stated that as a result of recent US military operations, the Iranian leadership has been severely weakened and the country's leadership is facing a difficult situation.
“The Iranian leadership is not in a good situation. They are in a desperate state and are hiding underground. This is what rats do,” Heqset said in a statement to journalists.
The minister also expressed skepticism about Mojtaba Khamenei's first message, which was allegedly broadcast via state television. He noted that the statement was only released in written form, with no audio or video provided.
“Yesterday a weak statement was released, but there was no audio or video. Iran has many cameras and recording capabilities. So why only a written statement? I think everyone understands the reason for this,” he emphasized.
Heqset added that after the death of Iran's previous Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, serious turmoil has arisen within the country's power structure, and the legitimacy of the new leadership is under question:
“His father is dead. He is afraid, injured, fleeing, and lacks legitimacy. This is a complete mess for them.”
