Conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East, unpredictability in US policy, and the collapse of the old world order have left European Union leaders bewildered.
Modern.az reports that these remarks were made by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban during his speech at the annual Carpathian Basin Forum in Budapest.
He stated that Europe is currently in chaos. According to him, his meetings with leaders of other European countries, including EU summits held in Brussels, have reinforced this conviction.
Orban believes that the current situation is related to both difficult economic conditions and the transition process to a new world order. In his opinion, unlike the United States, the European Union is still trying to operate under old rules and cannot define a position consistent with new geopolitical realities.
“It is difficult to predict how long this process will continue. However, some facts indicate that we must abandon the logic of the world we lived in a year or two ago and think in accordance with today's realities,” the Prime Minister emphasized.
