US President Donald Trump issued two consecutive statements regarding the situation around the Strait of Hormuz.

According to **Modern.az**, he stated on his social media account that the US has completely defeated Iran both militarily and economically.

According to Trump, despite this, Tehran can still pose a threat in the Strait of Hormuz. He noted that Iran might take steps such as sending drones, planting mines in the water, or launching short-range missile strikes. The US President stated that Washington will continue its military activities in the region to prevent this threat.

The US leader also declared that for the Strait of Hormuz to remain open and secure, several countries should send warships to the region together with the US. Trump specifically expressed hope that countries such as China, France, South Korea, Japan, and Britain would also join this process. According to him, the security of this strait, which is one of the main routes for oil shipments, is in the interest not only of the US but of all countries worldwide.

Trump added that the US will continue strikes on Iranian military facilities and coastline in the region and will take measures to prevent the activities of Iranian military boats and ships. He emphasized that Washington intends to ensure the Strait of Hormuz remains “open, secure, and free.”

Experts believe that these statements by the US President actually constitute a kind of call to the countries most affected by the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. Trump believes that Washington does not want to bear the responsibility alone and that states benefiting from energy security should also share the responsibility.

It should be noted that the Strait of Hormuz is one of the strategic routes through which a significant portion of global oil trade passes. For this reason, the closure or endangerment of the strait could create a serious shock in global energy markets, sharply increase oil prices, and pose the risk of a widespread international crisis. According to experts, Trump's message is that if other major economies do not join the process, the consequences of the crisis could be severe for the entire world.
