US President Donald Trump is considering seizing Iran's main oil depot on Kharg Island.
Modern.az reports that the “Axios” portal wrote about this, citing informed sources.
One of the sources told the publication that "the President has not made any decision regarding Kharg Island". However, he added that if efforts to open the Strait of Hormuz are prolonged, "a decision could be made".
The source added that "President Trump will not allow Iranians to dictate the course of the conflict".
Another source told the publication that Trump supports the idea of directly seizing Kharg Island, as this would be an "economic blow to the regime" by depriving Tehran of funding.
