Dubai International Airport (DXB) temporarily suspended flights on the morning of March 16.

Modern.az reports, citing foreign media, that the United Arab Emirates reported a fire near the airport as a result of a "drone incident". It was later clarified that one of the fuel tanks in the airport area had caught fire.

No injuries were reported in the incident, but the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority announced that flights at the airport were temporarily suspended as a "precautionary measure". Passengers were advised to contact their airlines for information regarding their flights. Dubai police reported that roads leading to the airport were temporarily closed.

Some flights were diverted to Al Maktoum International Airport, Dubai's second airport.

It should be noted that Iran had previously launched drone and missile attacks on Dubai airport several times.
