Iran has developed a multifaceted strategy aimed at inflicting serious political and economic damage on the US and Israel, as well as their allies in the Gulf.
Modern.az reports, citing foreign media, that the plan was developed to bring about a cessation of military operations.
Iranians have prepared 5 lines of action to force the US and Israel to stop the war:
Drone and ballistic missile attacks to damage American and Israeli targets in the Gulf;
Drone, missile, and naval attacks, including mining, to disrupt shipping in the Gulf;
Attacks using proxies such as Lebanese Hezbollah and other pro-Iranian groups;
Global operations;
Cyberattacks on critical infrastructure.
The joint US-Israel campaign was aimed at urgently ending drone, ballistic missile, and conventional naval attacks, as these were the most important means for Iran to implement its strategy. Unmanned aerial vehicles and naval vessels continue to pose a threat to shipping and oil production infrastructure in the Gulf, and Iran's threat to mine the strait remains a real, albeit complex, danger. To stop missile and drone attacks as quickly as possible, the joint US-Israel campaign successfully reduced the level of attacks on US partners and interests in the region.
The joint campaign began these efforts on the first day of the campaign and has gradually reduced Iran's missile and drone launching capabilities. A high-ranking Israeli military official stated that Israel has destroyed or disabled 260-290 out of approximately 410-440 such launchers. According to Israeli intelligence, Iranian missile forces are also suffering from low morale, desertion, and insubordination.
The campaign also targeted drone launch sites, but the US and Israel have not provided information on the number or types of targets hit by drones. However, since the beginning of the war, Iran's ballistic missile and drone launches have gradually decreased. Some individual drones have been able to penetrate air defense systems and inflict politically unacceptable damage on oil infrastructure, but the overall trend of attacks is quite positive.
