Trump has proposed creating a naval coalition in the Strait of Hormuz.
Modern.az reminds that the proposal envisages the movement of oil and gas tankers in the area under military vessel escort for their protection, through the Strait of Hormuz, which is currently restricted by Iran.
Currently, responses to this proposal by the US leader have come from a number of countries. France, Australia, China and Japan have refused to join this process.
