Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Army Valery Gerasimov inspected the progress of combat missions of the "South" Army Group fighting on the Ukrainian front and listened to the commander.
Modern.az reports, citing the Russian Ministry of Defense, that he stated they had taken all possible measures to prevent the advance of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk-Konstantinovsky fortified area.
At the same time, he added that the front line had advanced more than 12 km west of Seversk, the villages of Reznikovka, Golubovka, and Kaleni had been captured, and fighting was ongoing in Kryvaya Luka.
"Street battles continue in the northeastern part of Konstantinovka, fighters are reaching the southwestern outskirts and control more than 60% of the city. The Russian Armed Forces are advancing in the village of Ilyinovka, near Konstantinovka.
Gerasimov noted that the Russian army had taken control of 12 settlements in the first half of March.
