The death toll from the air attack on Afghanistan's capital, Kabul, has reached 400.

Modern.az reports that, according to Afghan government spokesman Hamdullah Fitrat, Pakistan struck a drug rehabilitation center in Kabul.

According to Afghan authorities, at least 400 people have died and approximately 250 have been injured.

According to CNN, the strike occurred around 9:00 PM local time. Most of the 2000-bed building was destroyed. Afghan government officials called the attack a "crime against humanity".

Pakistan denied the claims, calling them "false and misleading". A statement from the Ministry of Information said that the strikes targeted only military facilities and infrastructure supporting terrorists, including bases of Pakistani militants operating from Afghanistan.

The conflict between the two countries escalated further on February 22 after Pakistan attacked the positions of the "Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan", which is banned in Russia. A few days later, the "Taliban" movement, which has governed Afghanistan since 2021, launched an attack in Pakistan's border provinces. In response, Islamabad declared "open war" against the Taliban.
