Due to disagreements regarding security in the Strait of Hormuz, relations between the European Union and the United States have once again reached a deep crisis point.
Modern.az reports that the publication "Politico" disseminated information on this matter, citing European diplomats.
According to those diplomats, the foreign ministers who met in Brussels on Monday almost unanimously opposed the US demand to participate in ensuring the security of ships.
They noted that if the US administration itself is not ready for this, EU countries are not prepared to put their ships and troops at risk.
It should be recalled that some time ago, US President Donald Trump stated that countries importing oil from the Strait of Hormuz should participate in ensuring the security of ships by sending warships there.
