Work continues to prevent the spread of the fire that occurred in the territory between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
Modern.az reports that appropriate measures are being taken by employees of the Gadabay District Fire Protection Unit of the Ministry of Emergency Situations to prevent the fire, which has been ongoing for four days in the border area (neutral territory) of Isali, Dordlar, and Mormor villages of Gadabay district with Armenia, from spreading to villages, especially to forested areas.
Due to the complexity of the terrain, it is not possible to deploy special equipment to the area.
Although the regularly intensifying wind complicates firefighting efforts, fire suppression measures are continuously carried out manually.
It should be noted that, according to reports in Azerbaijani and Armenian media, large-scale fires have been observed for several days in the direction of Gadabay district along the conditional Armenia-Azerbaijan border. (Source: report)
