Over the past year, a total of 1188 people were admitted to the Toxicology Department of the Clinical Medical Center due to poisoning.

It was reported that, as a result of timely and correct treatment measures, the condition of 1142 patients was stabilized, and they were discharged home for outpatient treatment in satisfactory condition.
Of the patients, 495 people were treated for drug preparations, 1 person for rat poison (rodenticide), 1 person for insecticide, 352 people for acetic acid, 8 people for solvent solutions, 12 people for corrosive solutions, 1 person for chemical solutions, 65 people for allergic reactions, 40 people for organophosphorus compounds, 18 people for anaphylactic shock, 13 people for smoke, 66 people for carbon monoxide, 78 people for snake bites, 1 person for petroleum solution, 5 people for wild plants, 6 people for insect bites, 22 people for alcoholic beverages, and 4 people were involved in treatment due to inhalational poisoning.
By medical personnel, all patients received specialized toxicological and resuscitation assistance, as well as intensive therapy and detoxification measures.
Despite the intensive treatment measures undertaken, unfortunately, it was not possible to save the lives of 46 people (32 men and 14 women).
It was noted that the main causes of death were toxic conditions resulting from poisoning with medication and acetic acid.
