The incident occurred in the judge's office in the afternoon. According to information, prosecutor Kılıçaslan used a weapon to injure the judge in the leg. During the attack, Yakup Karadağ, who was serving a sentence at the Maltepe Open Penal Institution and working as a tea server at the court, prevented the prosecutor from firing a second time, thereby preventing more severe consequences.
According to information, the injured judge was immediately provided with medical assistance and hospitalized. Immediately after the incident, prosecutor Məhəmməd Çağatay Kılıçaslan was apprehended by law enforcement agencies.
According to NTV, there was a romantic relationship between the prosecutor and the judge in the past. It is reported that Kılıçaslan did not accept the end of the relationship, and the incident occurred on this basis.
