A fire broke out in the dormitory building of Baku Slavic University, located on Agasadig Garaybayli Street, Binagadi district, Baku city, where former internally displaced persons resided. As a result of the fire, burning structures on the balconies of the II, III, IV, V floors of the building and a room covering an area of 16 sq/m were burned. 30 residents were evacuated, and 3 people were rescued.
Modern.az reports that Ilgar Nasibov, head of the Firefighting Headquarters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, stated this in a declaration to journalists.
“No injuries were sustained during the incident, and the cause of the fire is unknown. Information will be provided after the cause is investigated,” the headquarters chief added.
