A road accident resulting in a pedestrian being hit occurred in Salyan district.
Modern.az, referring to Qafqazinfo, reports that the incident was recorded the evening before last on the section of the old Alat-Astara highway passing through the territory of Yenikand village in the district.
Thus, a "VAZ 2106" passenger car hit Ismayilov Taleh Teyyub oglu, born in 1981, who was attempting to cross the road.
The injured person, who sustained severe p injuries of varying degrees, lost his life on the way to the hospital.
It should be noted that T. Ismayilov, a father of two children, worked at SOCAR's Diving and Emergency Rescue Department. He became a victim of the accident while returning from work, after getting off a vehicle on the Alat-Astara highway and heading home.
An investigation is being conducted regarding the incident.
