Information was received by the “112” hotline of the Ministry of Emergency Situations regarding a fire in a store on Elshan Suleymanov Street, Nizami district, Baku city.
Regarding this, Modern.az was informed by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
It was reported that, in connection with the information, forces of the State Fire Protection and Special Risky Rescue Services of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were immediately deployed to the area.
During the assessment of the operational situation at the scene, it was determined that an explosion accompanied by a fire had occurred in a flower shop located on the first floor of an eighteen-story residential building.
Thanks to the necessary and urgent measures carried out by firefighters, the fire was prevented from spreading, including to other objects and apartments, and was extinguished in a short time.
As a result of the fire, the combustible structures of the store, with a total area of 38 sq.m., burned.
Other objects and apartments were protected from the fire.
No injuries were reported.
In connection with the incident, an investigation is being conducted by the relevant authorities.
