Our citizens stranded in the Caspian were rescued

Azerbaijani citizens stranded in the Caspian Sea were rescued.

Modern.az reports that the Press Center of the State Border Service released information regarding this.

According to the information, reliable protection of maritime borders, organization of control over floating craft, and rescue operations are successfully carried out in the territorial waters of the Caspian Sea belonging to Azerbaijan. Information was received by the coastal control unit of the State Border Service's Coast Guard regarding a problem with the engine of a fishing boat, brand “Yamaha-55”, with board number “MI-912”, stating that 2 crew members were left helpless.

For the purpose of rescuing the boat and its crew members, a border vessel on state border patrol was immediately dispatched to that location based on the coordinates.

As a result of the urgent measures taken, residents of Neftchala district who were left helpless at sea – Rzayev Faiq Nadir oglu, born in 1977, and Maharramov Rauf Museyib oglu, born in 1989 – were rescued by border guards and brought ashore in safe conditions.
