As a result of Armenia's military aggression against Azerbaijan, 678 people have been registered as missing persons by the State Commission in Kalbajar district, including the Murovdag mountain range area.
This was reported by the State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages, and Missing Persons in response to an inquiry from Modern.az.
It was noted that of the 678 people who went missing in Kalbajar district, including the Murovdag mountain range area, 500 are military personnel, and 178 are civilians.
It should be recalled that during the First Karabakh War - in late 1993 – early 1994
the battle of the Azerbaijani Army, known in our military history as the “Murovdag operation,” resulted in failure. In this operation, many of our soldiers and officers were martyred and went missing.
