Former midfielder of the Serbian national team Dejan Milovanović passed away during a match of veteran footballers.
Modern.az reports, citing “L'Equipe” publication, that the 41-year-old former footballer appeared on the field as part of his country's "Crvena Zvezda" club. He lost consciousness a few minutes after scoring a goal.
According to the initial version, Milovanović suffered a "double heart attack". Medical personnel were unable to revive him.
It should be noted that Dejan Milovanović played for Serbian clubs "Crvena Zvezda", "Voždovac", French club "Lens", as well as Greek club "Panionios". He was named the best player of the Serbian championship in 2006.
