The first free practice session of the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix has taken place.
Modern.az reports that 10 teams, each consisting of two drivers, competed in the session.
In the session, which took place under intense sporting competition, McLaren's British driver Lando Norris finished first.
Norris's teammate, Australian Oscar Piastri, took second place, while Ferrari's Polish driver Charles Leclerc secured third.
Today, the Formula 2 qualifying session will also start at 14:00, followed by the second free practice session in Formula 1 at 16:00.

The first free practice session of the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix held in Baku has resumed.
According to Modern.az, the obstacle found on the track, which caused a temporary halt, has been removed.
It should be noted that the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, which started today, will conclude on September 21.
