Over 35,000 people watched the CIS Games

Organized by Baku City Circuit (BCC) Operating Company and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the III CIS Games were held from September 28 to October 8, 2025, in seven cities of Azerbaijan – Ganja, Yevlakh, Mingachevir, Gabala, Shaki, Goygol, and Khankendi. The Games were attended by 340 athletes from Azerbaijan, 262 from Russia, 240 from Belarus, 254 from Uzbekistan, 147 from Kazakhstan, 144 from Tajikistan, 126 from Kyrgyzstan, 38 from Turkey, 48 from Turkmenistan, and 6 from Kuwait.

Arzu Huseynova, press secretary of Baku City Circuit (BCC) Operating Company, stated in response to an inquiry from Modern.az that more than 35,000 people watched the III CIS Games.

“Throughout the entire event, more than 35,000 people watched the opening and closing ceremonies and the competitions from the stands as fans and tourists.

Approximately 2,400 sports delegates participated in the competitions. More than 1,000 staff members were involved in the organization of the event. Concurrently, the activities of nearly 3,000 volunteers were ensured. 13 countries participated in the event, 8 of which were CIS members, and the others were non-CIS guest countries".
