Azerbaijanis living in England will not leave our team alone in the “Liverpool” - “Qarabağ” match, which will start on January 29 at 00:00 Baku time.
Our compatriots living in Great Britain informed Modern.az about this. According to Samir Akhundov, who lives in Europe, Azerbaijanis settled in various countries of the “old continent” are preparing to come to the famous “Anfield Road” stadium.
Our interviewee stated that we might witness magnificent support for the Azerbaijani club in the UEFA Champions League group stage match “Liverpool” - “Qarabağ”:
“Fans who have purchased tickets will gather in the sector allocated for “Qarabağ”. Everyone intends to come with flags, scarves, and club attributes. Those who cannot go to the stadium will probably organize joint viewing in cafes, friends' homes, or sports bars belonging to Azerbaijanis. However, it is likely that not everyone will be in the sector exclusively allocated for “Qarabağ”. We will probably see Azerbaijani fans in other sectors as well.”
More than 200 “Qarabağ” fans have already purchased tickets for the match to be held in England.
It should be noted that the “Liverpool” - “Qarabağ” match holds special importance for both teams, and neither will try to lose. "Liverpool" must win to directly secure qualification for the 1/8 finals. For "Qarabağ", even 1 point will be enough to advance to the "play-offs". However, the Aghdam club's theoretical chance to play in that stage will remain even if they lose. This will depend on the results of several other matches.
The “Liverpool” - “Qarabağ” match will be officiated by Slovak FIFA referee Ivan Krujlyak.
