All Champions League play-off pairings have been announced.

Azerbaijani representative "Qarabağ" will face England's "Newcastle" club. 

“Qarabağ” will play the first match in Baku and the return leg away. The play-off matches will be held on February 17-18, and the return matches on February 24-25.

Representing the city of Newcastle-upon-Tyne in northeast England, “Newcastle United” was founded in 1892 as a result of the merger of two football clubs – “Newcastle East End” and “Newcastle West End”. The club is a 4-time winner of the English Championship, a 6-time winner of the FA Cup, and a winner of the League Cup, Fairs Cup, and Intertoto Cup. The League Cup won in 2025 was “Newcastle United”'s first major title since 1969. According to data at the end of the 2024/25 season, the club ranks 9th among England's most titled clubs.

The club's home stadium, “St. James' Park”, was opened in 1880. Considered one of England's largest football arenas, the stadium has a capacity of over 52,000 spectators. The “Newcastle United” club has been playing its home matches at this stadium since 1892.

The team's head coach since November 2021 is Eddie Howe, and the club's captain is Bruno Guimarães.
