UEFA has penalized the “Qarabağ” club.
Modern.az reports that the decision was made by UEFA's Disciplinary Committee due to slogans chanted during the match (3:2) held in Baku against Germany's “Eintracht” club in the 7th round of the Champions League Group Stage.
According to the decision, the representative of Aghdam was fined 17,500 euros for “transmitting a message inappropriate for a sporting event” and “damaging the reputation of football in general and UEFA in particular.” The decision did not specify what the matter was about.
According to information obtained by QOL.az, the reason for the penalty was the fans chanting the slogan “UEFA - mafia.”
Furthermore, according to the organization's information, the club also violated ticket control regulations.
