48-year-old Alex de Souza, one of Fenerbahçe's legendary footballers, has been appointed as the head coach of Brazil's Serie B representative, Athletic Club.
Modern.az reports that Alex's assistants will be Joao Paulo Cavalcanti and Jose Roberto Lucini.
Alex, who started coaching after ending his football career, previously worked with the U-20 team of “Sao Paulo”, as well as with the clubs “Avai”, “Antalyaspor”, and “Operario-PR”.
The club management wished success to the new head coach and his staff.
