"Turan Tovuz" club will hold its home games in Sumgayit.
Modern.az reports that the Professional Football League has issued a statement regarding this.
It was stated that, previously, due to a problem with the turf of Tovuz City Stadium, the Professional Football League had allowed "Turan Tovuz" to temporarily hold its home games at "Azərsun Arena":
"The club's return to Tovuz City Stadium was planned for the XXV round match of the Misli Premier League, on the condition that a test match be held beforehand. Based on the latest analyses, expert opinions, and the club's official request, it has been determined that the stadium can be made ready for play at the earliest in mid-April. Due to the closure for repairs of "Azərsun Arena", where "Turan Tovuz" club temporarily played (it had been officially announced beforehand that "Turan Tovuz" would only use this stadium in February), a request has been received by the Professional Football League regarding the organization of the aforementioned round's match, as well as the home fixture to be held within the semi-final stage of the Azerbaijan Cup, at the Mehdi Huseynzade Sumgayit City Stadium.
Taking into account the current situation at Tovuz City Stadium, the club's request, as well as the consent letter from "Sumgayit" club, the Professional Football League has decided that "Turan Tovuz" club will hold its Misli Premier League XXV round match and its home game in the semi-final stage of the Azerbaijan Cup at the Mehdi Huseynzade Sumgayit City Stadium. After the aforementioned matches, the overall condition of Tovuz City Stadium will be re-evaluated, and an additional decision will be made regarding whether the team's home games will be held at Tovuz City Stadium starting from the XXVI round".
