Oil expert Ilham Shaban refuted claims such as "high-octane gasoline production in Azerbaijan will cease again from 2026."
Modern.az reports that he stated there was no basis for the press to refer to next year's state budget package.
“There is no such direct statement in the draft state budget for next year. On the other hand, official statistics this year show that Ai-95 brand gasoline is being produced in Azerbaijan, and its export has also begun, albeit in small volumes, since the second half of the year,” I. Shaban noted.
The expert emphasized that he had also sent an inquiry to SOCAR regarding this and received an appropriate response.
“I received a response to my inquiry to SOCAR a short while ago, stating that "within the framework of the production processes currently applied at the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery, A-92 and A-95 brand gasoline conforming to Euro-5 quality standards is being produced, and the production of these types of petroleum products will continue next year"”, - I. Shaban added.
