Modern.az reports that Samir Nasirov, Director of the Statistics Department of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, stated this.
In addition, during the reporting period, the main destination for direct investments directed from Azerbaijan abroad was Israel, with 542.6 million dollars invested in this country, which is mainly related to the “Tamar” gas field project. 289 million dollars to Turkey, 250 million dollars to the United Arab Emirates, 176 million dollars to Great Britain, and 118 million dollars in direct foreign investment to Italy were invested.
In nine months, foreign residents invested 4 billion 736 million dollars in direct investments into the country. Great Britain took the first place with 1 billion 243 million dollars, followed by Turkey with 632 million dollars, South Cyprus with 543 million dollars, Switzerland with 384 million dollars, and Iran with 272 million dollars.
