President Ilham Aliyev has approved the law "On the State Budget for 2026" adopted by the Milli Majlis on December 9.
Modern.az reports that, according to the law, next year's budget revenues are expected to be 38 billion 609 million manats (0.7% more than the approved forecast for 2025), and expenditures are expected to be 41 billion 703.6 million manats (+0.7%).
Consequently, a deficit of 3 billion 94.6 million manats is projected to arise in the state budget. This is 1.4% higher year-on-year.
In 2026, Azerbaijan's consolidated budget revenues are expected to be 44 billion 969.4 million manats, and expenditures are expected to be 48 billion 839.3 million manats.
These figures are 2.3% and 2.5% higher, respectively, compared to the approved forecasts for 2025.
Consequently, a deficit of 3 billion 869.3 million manats is projected to arise in the consolidated budget. This is 5.2% higher year-on-year.
The price of 1 barrel of oil in the budget is set at 65 US dollars.
