In January-November of last year, 79.8 thousand tons of sugar were exported from Azerbaijan.
Modern.az reports, citing the State Customs Committee, that 57.1 million US dollars were spent on the export of this amount of sugar.
Sugar exports increased by 30.4 thousand tons or 1.6 times in terms of quantity, and by 19.6 million US dollars or 1.5 times in terms of value, compared to the same period in 2024.
During the reporting period, sugar exports accounted for 0.24% of the country's total exports and 1.72% of non-oil sector exports.
It should be noted that in January-November 2025, 353.5 thousand tons of sugar were produced in Azerbaijan. This represents a 24.4% increase compared to the indicator for the same period in 2024. (Source: iqtisadiyyat.az)
