Competition among bank cards manifests itself in attractive offers for customers.  One of these offers is "cashbacks" returned from funds spent at markets, restaurants, and other establishments, as well as at FSSs (fuel service stations).

Funds spent at FSSs constitute a significant portion of the population's expenses. The increase in fuel prices will further augment this burden on the population. The rising cost of gasoline and diesel will increasingly influence car owners' card choices. Therefore, a bank offering "fuel cashback" may attract more attention from these individuals.

Modern.az reports that FED-az has investigated how profitable bank card "cashback" offers are for automotive fuel. The research shows that it is possible to earn "cashback" ranging from 0.5-5% on payments at FSSs through cards offered by various banks in Azerbaijan.

The "cashback" rates earned when purchasing fuel with bank cards at fuel service stations are listed in the table below:
