As of December 1, 2025, the number of hired employees in the country's economy was 1797.4 thousand people, of whom 869 thousand people were employed in the public sector of the economy, and 928.4 thousand people were employed in the non-public sector.
Modern.az reports that this was announced by the State Statistical Committee.
Of the hired employees, 18.6 percent were engaged in trade; repair of transport vehicles, 18.2 percent in education, 14.0 percent in industry, 8.5 percent in healthcare and social services to the population, 6.7 percent in construction, 6.3 percent in public administration and defense; social security, 4.5 percent in transport and warehousing, 3.9 percent in professional, scientific and technical activities, 2.4 percent in agriculture, forestry and fishing, 2.3 percent in financial and insurance activities, and 14.6 percent in other sectors of the economy.
In January-November 2025, the average monthly nominal salary of hired employees in the country's economy increased by 9.3 percent compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, reaching 1089.2 manats. The average monthly nominal salary was higher in the mining industry, financial and insurance activities, information and communication, professional, scientific and technical activities, as well as transport and warehousing sectors of the economy.
