In world markets, 1 ounce (31.1 grams) of gold sharply increased, exceeding 5600 dollars. 

Modern.az referring to foreign media, reports that this is a new historical record. 

The investment of countries worldwide in gold instead of the dollar and the instability in world markets have turned the precious metal into a valuable asset.
