Import of rare motor vehicles has been exempted from VAT, excise tax, and customs duty.
Modern.az reports that this is reflected in the amendments to the Tax Code and the Law "On Customs Tariff", which President Ilham Aliyev signed a Decree on their implementation.
According to the amendment, the exemption of rare motor vehicle imports from VAT, excise tax, and customs duty will be regulated under the following conditions:
- the import being carried out on the basis of a confirming document from the relevant state p;
- the number of imported rare motor vehicles by a person not exceeding 1 unit (a total of 10 units nationwide) within a calendar year.
The exemption of rare motor vehicle imports from VAT, excise tax, and customs duty will allow for a reduction in the costs of their importers.
This requirement enters into force 30 (thirty) days after the date of publication of the law.
