A press conference was held on the results of the activities of the Agency for the Development of Economic Zones (ADEZ) under the Ministry of Economy for 2025 and the tasks ahead.
Modern.az reports that Seymur Adıgözəlov, Chairman of the Board of ADEZ, stated that last year, in the industrial zones managed by ADEZ, residency status was granted to 25 business entities and non-residency status to 4 entrepreneurs.
“Last year, 14 enterprises commenced operations in the industrial zones. These enterprises invested a total of 136 million manats in the industrial zones, creating 1100 permanent jobs. To date, in the industrial zones managed by the Agency, residency status has been granted to 138 business entities with an investment portfolio exceeding 8.7 billion manats, and non-residency status to 13 entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs have invested 7 billion manats in the industrial zones, 82 enterprises have commenced operations, and over 9700 permanent jobs have been created”.
It was noted that in the industrial zones during 2015-2025, product sales totaling over 19 billion manats were realized, of which over 6 billion manats were exported.
In 2025, in the industrial zones managed by ADEZ, sales amounting to approximately 4 billion manats were realized, with 1.2 billion manats of this amount attributed to exports. Products manufactured in the industrial zones are exported to more than 70 countries worldwide. In 2025, the share of industrial zones in non-oil industrial product manufacturing constituted 19.1%, and in non-oil exports, it was 33.9%.
While only 10.4 million foreign investments were attracted to economic zones in 2016, this figure reached 87.9 million manats in 2025 alone.
