Currently, 40 residents have been registered in Sumgayit Industrial Park, the largest industrial park in the South Caucasus. In 2025, product sales worth 2.2 billion manats were realized in Sumgayit Industrial Park, of which 1.1 billion manats accounted for exports.
Modern.az reports that Seymur Adıgözəlov, Chairman of the Board of the Economic Zones Development Agency (EZDA) under the Ministry of Economy, stated this at a press conference on the results of the agency's activities for 2025 and its upcoming tasks.
It was noted that Aghdam Industrial Park has rapidly transformed into a regional economic center. Here, 32 residents and 5 non-residents have been registered, 145.8 million manats in investments have been made, and nearly 1000 permanent jobs have been created. The park is already in second place in the country by the number of residents.
“Preference is given to the local population during recruitment. Currently, 13 enterprises operate in Aghdam Industrial Park. Products manufactured in the park are sold in the domestic market and also exported. Entrepreneurs in the industrial park have realized product sales worth 1.4 billion manats, of which 62.3 million manats were exported”, he stated.
The information noted that in the “Araz Valley Economic Zone” Industrial Park located in Jabrayil district, 19 residents and 3 non-residents have been registered, over 43.8 million manats in investments have been made in the park, and nearly 100 jobs have been created.
“In addition, the expansion of production and the implementation of new projects continue in the Mingachevir, Garadagh, Pirallahi, and Hajigabul industrial parks, as well as in the Neftchala, Sabirabad, and Masally industrial estates.
Work is currently underway to establish the necessary infrastructure in the Nakhchivan Industrial Park, created at the end of 2024, and the Western Industrial Park, established in 2026.
For your information, in 2025, 25 business entities obtained resident status and 4 entrepreneurs obtained non-resident status in the industrial zones. 14 new enterprises have started operations. These enterprises have invested 136 million manats and created 1100 permanent jobs. Furthermore, as a result of tax and customs incentives applied in the industrial parks, residents saved over 42 million manats last year”, Seymur Adıgözəlov said.
