The International Labour Organization has released statistics on labour productivity by country.
According to Modern.az, labour productivity in Azerbaijan was estimated at 26.4 dollars (44.2 manats). This indicator reflects the volume of gross domestic product (GDP) per working hour.
With this indicator, Azerbaijan surpasses Iran (23.6 dollars), Armenia (26 dollars), Uzbekistan (13.7 dollars), and Kyrgyzstan (10 dollars).
Overall, labour productivity in neighbouring countries and member states of the Organization of Turkic States is as follows:
Russia – 43.2 dollars
Kazakhstan – 41.5 dollars
Turkey – 40.9 dollars
Georgia – 29.5 dollars
Turkmenistan – 27.9 dollars
Armenia – 26 dollars
Iran – 23.6 dollars
Uzbekistan – 13.7 dollars
Kyrgyzstan – 10 dollars
Among the countries with the highest labour productivity are Ireland (164.7 dollars), Luxembourg (159.5 dollars), Norway (125.6 dollars), Netherlands (92.3 dollars), Denmark (92.2 dollars), Belgium (91.5 dollars), Austria (86.7 dollars), Switzerland (85.8 dollars), and Sweden (83.9 dollars).
