In January 2026, the volume of cash US dollar purchase and sale transactions carried out by banks in Azerbaijan amounted to 260 million 423 thousand.
Modern.az reports that this indicator decreased by 36.5% or 149.9 million US dollars compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
It should be noted that during the reporting period, banks' cash US dollar purchases increased by 7.5% to 124.9 million compared to January 2025, while sales decreased by 2.2 times to 135.6 million.
During this period, banks' cash euro purchases decreased by 2.7% to 9.5 million compared to January of last year, while sales decreased by 2.1 times to 8.1 million.(APA)
