The rating of the best farmer in Azerbaijan is 86 out of 100.
According to Modern.az, this was stated by Surkhay Novruzov, advisor to the Minister of Agriculture, at today's public hearing held by the Agrarian Policy Committee of the Milli Majlis on the topic “Application of Artificial Intelligence in Agriculture: Results and Prospects”.
The ministerial advisor noted that a farmer rating has been created using over a hundred digital information sources.
“In the first stage, a rating for 330,000 farmers is available. The criteria mainly cover areas such as irrigation capabilities, agrarian activity, the farmer's economic activity, and environmental indicators. All these indicators are collected in three main pillars, resulting in a final digital score for the farmer. This score determines how effective and high-quality the farmer's activity is, and, simply put, it becomes an indicator showing how well the farmer performs”.
“When evaluating the overall activity of farmers, several criteria are taken into account, such as modern cultivation systems, level of specialization, insurance behavior, membership in various associations and organizations, use of mobile applications, integration into the value chain, management of cultivated areas, development dynamics over the years, adherence to sustainable cultivation recommendations, and irrigation capabilities. All these indicators together enable the evaluation of the farmer's overall activity and the formation of a rating score” – he stated.
