Agrarian drone and robot technology should be created in agriculture.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by MP Vugar Iskandarov at the public hearing held today by the Agrarian Policy Committee of the Milli Majlis on the topic “Application of Artificial Intelligence in Agriculture: Results and Prospects”.
The MP noted that the creation of a national artificial intelligence platform “Smart Farmer” is necessary. A unified artificial intelligence platform can be established based on the databases of state and agrarian institutions. This platform can provide recommendations to farmers through a mobile application.
“It is possible to create a special application for agrarian drones and robotic equipment operating with artificial intelligence. Within the framework of this program, monitoring and mapping of agricultural areas can be carried out using drones. At the same time, the spraying of pesticides and fertilizers can be ensured through precision technologies, preventing waste. In large areas, it is possible to organize planting and harvesting processes using autonomous equipment. Furthermore, the establishment of a special laboratory for artificial intelligence and agrotechnology at the Agrarian University can also provide a significant impetus for the development of innovations in this direction.
Such an approach would enable the optimization of water and fertilizer use, more efficient resource management, and increased productivity. As a result, agriculture can become a more modern, effective, and competitive sector” – he noted.
