In February 2026, consumer prices increased by 5.7 percent compared to February 2025, including a 6.8 percent increase for food products, alcoholic beverages, and tobacco products, a 3.7 percent increase for non-food products, and a 5.7 percent increase for paid services rendered to the population.

Modern.az reports that this was stated in the information provided by the State Statistics Committee.

According to the information, compared to January-February 2025, the average annual price increase was 5.7 percent, and in the last month, it was 0.6 percent.

In February 2026, consumer prices for food products, alcoholic beverages, and tobacco products increased by 1.1 percent compared to the previous month, and by 7.0 percent in January-February compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.

“In February of the current year, compared to the previous month, prices for certain food products, mainly bread, sausage products, fresh fish, milk, sour cream, cheese, cottage cheese, table margarine, olives, sunflower and corn oils, lemon, tangerine, banana, apple, pear, quince, pomegranate, walnuts, hazelnuts, greens, cucumber, tomato, pumpkin, carrots, potatoes, natural honey, coffee, cocoa, mineral waters, soft drinks, juices, alcoholic beverages increased, while mutton, eggs, oranges, chestnuts, white cabbage, and onions decreased. No significant changes occurred in the prices of other food products,” the Statistics Committee stated.

In February 2026, the price increase for paid services rendered to the population was 0.2 percent compared to the previous month, and 5.7 percent in January-February compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. In February, compared to the previous month, among the paid services rendered to the population, mainly medical, hotel, barbershop, and air transport passenger services to countries other than CIS countries increased in price, while air transport passenger services to CIS countries and recreational tours decreased. No significant changes occurred in the prices of other paid services.
