In January-February 2026, changes in the production index were recorded in several sectors of the manufacturing industry.
Modern.az, citing the State Statistical Committee, reported that the production of food products constituted 111.4 percent, beverage production 101.9 percent, and tobacco product production 125.7 percent. The production index in the textile industry was 123.7 percent, and in clothing production, it was 100.3 percent.
The index for the production of leather and leather products, as well as footwear, was recorded at 65.4 percent, and the processing of wood and production of wood products, excluding furniture, was recorded at 65.6 percent. Paper and cardboard production constituted 121.7 percent, and the production of printing products 126.6 percent.
The production of electrical equipment constituted 148.9 percent, and the production of machinery and equipment 80.0 percent. The production of motor vehicles, trailers, and semi-trailers showed the highest increase at 270.1 percent.
Alongside this, furniture production was 96.0 percent, and the production index in the installation and repair of machinery and equipment sector was 147.6 percent.
