In January of this year, the average monthly nominal wage of hired employees in the country increased by 3.8 percent compared to the corresponding period of 2025, amounting to 1103.8 manats.
Modern.az reports, citing the State Statistical Committee, that the wage was 4064.7 manats in the oil and gas sector, and 1050.1 manats in the non-oil and gas sector.
The wages of employees working in state enterprises were 1073.2 manats, while in private enterprises they were 1133.5 manats.
According to the information, in the mining industry, financial and insurance activities, information and communication, professional, scientific, and technical activities, as well as in the transport and warehousing sectors, the average monthly nominal wage was higher than the national average.
