A festive Novruz festival will be held in East Zangazur.

It was announced that a Novruz celebration will be held on March 16 in Horovlu village of Jabrayil district. Within the framework of the event, a Samani festival, an exhibition-sale fair, presentations reflecting national customs and traditions, and entertainment programs with the participation of Novruz characters will be presented. A concert program featuring singers, khanandas (traditional Azerbaijani vocalists), ashugs (folk bards), choir collectives, and dance groups is planned for the event. A puppet theater, interactive games, and quizzes will be held in a special zone for children. During the festival, a master class on preparing samani halva with the participation of master chefs will be held, and lavash, fasali, and kətə will be prepared on a saj.
The Novruz festival aims to promote the rich cultural heritage of East Zangazur and the tourism potential of the region. Local products, handicrafts, and national cuisine samples will also be showcased at the festive events. It should be noted that the Novruz bonfire will be lit for the first time after a long break in the reconstructed Horovlu village.
The organizers invite those who wish to celebrate the holiday in East Zangazur to both the ancient and new Horovlu villages of Jabrayil.
