Teachers' attestation results should be sent to the higher education institutions and colleges where they studied.
According to Modern.az, this was stated by Ceyran Mahmudova, Rector of Azerbaijan University of Culture and Arts, during today's public hearing of the Science and Education Committee of the Milli Majlis on the topic “Current State and Development Prospects of Art Schools”.
“I am a strong supporter of conducting the attestation exam. I would very much like information to be provided to higher education institutions. We also need to know whether this happened during our leadership or in previous years”.
C. Mahmudova noted that this will allow both higher education institutions and colleges to organize their work better.
Ceyran Mahmudova noted that if a musician does not continuously sit at the piano and play, they cannot be a teacher:
“Music teachers are not like other teachers. A mathematics teacher can work as a teacher after completing higher education, but a music teacher must be involved with music from the age of 6. They dedicate their lives to music; without this regularity, a music teacher cannot function as a teacher. A pianist must practice daily at the piano; without this, it is impossible to be a music teacher. If a teacher cannot perform elementary music in the attestation exam, how can they pass the attestation? In this case, how can they teach music to our children and grandchildren?” – she stated.
