The candidacies of Rashad Rasullu, Ilaha Gadimova, Salman Musayev, Simran Hasanov, Hajarkhanim Babayeva, and Ayten Babayeva have been put forward for the Broadcasting Council of the Public Television and Radio Broadcasting Company.
According to Modern.az, this matter was stated during the discussion of the issue of selecting individuals whose candidacies were put forward for membership in the Broadcasting Council of the Public Television and Radio Broadcasting Company, which was discussed at today's meeting of the Culture Committee of the Milli Majlis.
Based on the results of the meetings held in 2025, candidates for the Broadcasting Council of the Public Television and Radio Broadcasting Company have been identified. Thus, Rashad Rasullu, Executive Vice-President of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation, and Ilaha Gadimova, captain of the women's national chess team, were nominated by sports federations. Salman Musayev, First Deputy Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office, and Simran Hasanov, Head of the Office's Apparatus, were nominated for the Broadcasting Council by religious confessions. Creative organizations, in turn, presented Hajarkhanim Babayeva, a member of the Board of the Composers' Union, and Ayten Babayeva, an associate professor at the Azerbaijan National Conservatory, as candidates.
It should be noted that candidates nominated by sports federations, religious confessions, and creative organizations for the Broadcasting Council of the Public Television and Radio Broadcasting Company are approved for a term of 6 years, with one person from each organization.
