The Third World War has already begun, and the US empire is implementing a special war plan to impose its political, economic, cultural, and military hegemony on the world.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.
“Pope Francis said two years ago that we are heading towards a Third World War. I believe it has already begun. The US empire has a war plan to dictate its hegemony to the world,” Maduro emphasized.
It should be recalled that in August 2022, Pope Francis (who passed away in April 2025) declared that humanity was “experiencing a Third World War.” In May 2024, he again characterized the global situation with this phrase.
According to "Reuters", on August 19, three destroyers, a nuclear submarine, and a missile cruiser of the US Navy, as well as 4,500 military personnel, were sent to the Venezuelan coast, to the southern part of the Caribbean basin. According to the official explanation, the purpose was to conduct “operations against drug cartels.”
"The New York Times" writes that US President Donald Trump signed a secret directive on the use of military force against drug cartels in Latin America. Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced on September 2 that a vessel that had departed from Venezuela and was allegedly owned by a “narco-terrorist organization” was destroyed, and 11 people died as a result of the attack.
Washington accuses Maduro of being linked to a drug cartel called “Cartel de los Soles.” However, official Caracas strongly denies the existence of this organization.
